Ilomäki Farm offers year-round holiday accommodation in eight different cottages. In addition to the holiday accommodations, our farming activities include forestry and growing crops and hay, and some sheep, horse and rabbits live on the farm as well. Our guests can, if they wish, participate in the daily care of our animals and other tasks at the farm. In the nearby forests there are trails of 1 to 3 kilometres, where you can just enjoy the clean Finnish nature, or rest and grill sausages at the laavu, a forest lean-to with an open fire. We can give you a ride on the tractor or the buggy, or teach you the art of axe throwing.

*In winter you can go skiing, take a hike in snowshoes, or defy the freezing temperatures and enjoy a bath in the hot tub under the stars and moonlight.
*In spring you can discover how nature wakes up after the long cold winter.
*On sunny and warm summer days, enjoy bicycle rides or try disc golf on the farm’s eight-basket disc golf course, and don’t forget the possibilities of our magic light summer nights.
*In the autumn you can delight in the nature’s gifts by picking mushroom and wild berries in the forests.

There are two forest trails, 1 km and 3 km in length, on the farm’s grounds, with cross country ski tracks available in winter. Along the forest trail, there is an 8-hole disc golf course and a barbecue shelter, which guests are welcome to use. You can also forage for berries and mushrooms. The floodlit Koukkari running/ski trail is 4 km away and you can choose from 1–5 km trails and the long-distance ice skating trail (1,500 m) is 6 km away. View video of the long-distance ice skating track.

We have a choice of bikes and snowshoes available for your use on the farm, as well as a range of games. You will also have access to our disc golf course during your stay. In the winter we have “vipukelkka” a kind of a sleigh version of a merry go round which is a firm favourite with the children. There is also a range of toys and games available for children, including buckets and spades, swings, ride-on toy tractors, hobby horses and a toy cow, which is perfect for practising your milking technique!

By advance booking only

We offer a wealth of activities for our guests, which are available by prior arrangement. You can tend to our horses and sheep, try your hand at sheep agility, find out more about our farm machinery, take a ride on a tractor and practise your axe throwing (K-15) and “mouse catching” skills.

As our guest, you will have the opportunity to watch or even get involved in farm activities, including tending to our animals, forestry, working on our fields, chopping wood and much more.

All our accommodation is self-catering.
